Papatzul

I’ve been meaning to check this place out for years now so when a serious fish taco craving hit I knew the time had finally arrived! 

I started out with a pretty little Prickly Pear Margarita and then it was onto the Tacos de Pescado Estilo Baja.

These tacos can be ordered either beer battered or grilled.  I was feeling classic fish tacos that day and ordered beer battered but as you can clearly see they are grilled.

I was starving and figured maybe they were looking out for my health so I kept the dish.  The fish was cooked well and there was a nice spicy sauce on top that went well with the crunchy cabbage.  However they were nowhere near as satisfying as my recent tacos at Rosa Mexicano and I found myself longing for those.  Papatzul is good if you happen to be in SOHO but I wouldn’t travel for it again.
