It's Almost Friday Cocktail!

Image
We stopped into Angel’s Share before Mr. T’s birthday dinner last week and I was happy to see some new summertime cocktails on the menu. Always a big fan of almost anything these bartenders throw together, I felt fairly confident ordering the new watermelon basil martini. I don’t know why I even had a moment of indecision. This cocktail was fantastic! The watermelon was slightly tart and incredibly refreshing. I loved taking a little chew of the basil leaf with each sip to give it a more savory smooth taste. Angel’s Share does it again!

Happy Dyngus Day!!!

Hopefully everyone had a nice Easter and can take some time today to enjoy the lovely weather and have a cocktail or two in honor of this holiday. I recommend heading to Angel's Share tonight for one of their signature drinks. Mr. T always orders the same thing- The Groovy. It's actually not listed on their menu anymore but they'll whip one up if you ask. Shiso leaves and yuzu make for quite the crisp refreshing cocktail. I usually order a lychee based drink, Serenity, but they had a list of new spring cocktails so I decided to try one out. This is the Spring Swing. To be honest I'm not sure exactly what was in it but it was awesome. Smooth enough to go down easy but with enough bite at the end to know you better watch yourself. So enjoy this lovely day and grab some pussy whillows somewhere for your significant other. Happy Dyngus Day!!

Cha-an is just my kind of place

So I have a couple posts from a few weeks back ,since our computer decided to break down and we had to send it away. Leaving me a shell of a human being behind!! Just kidding! Anyway, during this time, I had two of my best friends in the world come visit for a weekend. Yey Me!!! They came in early afternoon on Friday and we kind of just chilled out for a little while and then walked down to the village. Our first stop was the Stoned Crow for a couple beers. I love the Stoned Crow- It's one of those divey bars where I could chill out at all night and listen to some good music on the jukebox. They have Sixpoint Sweet Action on tap as well, which is always a plus for me. Once we finished a beer or two we realized we were starving! None of us had really eaten any lunch but we also didn't want to spoil our dinner so we spilt a burger between the 3 of us. This was actually the first time I have ever eaten at the Crow although I do know the chef is the former burger slinger from...
