It's Almost That Time Again- NYC Resturant Week!

Yes folks the list of participating restaurants should be released sometime this week so get ready to make your reservations!  The last few years I have been lucky enough to hit about 3-4 lunches and this year I'm hoping to do the same.  I have no idea which Danny Meyer places will participate this year.  Maialino and the Modern Bar Room for sure...but Gramercy Tavern, Union Square maybe even Eleven Madison again? Correction: Eleven Madison is no longer owned by Danny Meyer since he sold it to executive chef and general manager Daniel Humm and Will Guidara.

This dish was from years ago when they actually participated.  Who knows?

UPDATE:  NYC Restaurant week reservations and list did come out this morning.  It was interesting to say the least.  The usual suspects such as The Modern Bar Room and River Cafe were no where to be seen.  However my favorites from other years Maialino, Quality Meats and Park Avenue Winter all made an appearance.  I made reservations for Red Rooster Harlem, The Maze by Gordon Ramsey, Cafe Boulud and Strip House.  Of course I'll try to throw a few more in there as well.  Oh and since this is the 20th year of Restaurant Week it's going to last for 20 days!  I better buy that gym membership right now...

Thanks Ann! You are correct. I completely forgot about that deal happening this past year with Humm. I made the correction. Thanks again!

the menus aren't up yet. :(

Hey Kim! About half of the menus are up on the NYC site. Check out the actual restaurant websites for the others. Places like Park Avenue Winter only have them
There.

THanks! Found some. Which restaurants would you recommend? I made a lunch reservation for Ai Fiori; sadly, Maialino is all booked :(

In the past Park Avenue Winter, Quality Meats and Riverpark have been great. I always lean to the lunch since I think that's where the real deal is. For dinner it's a little more tough. I usually use RW as my excuse to try out the old school places ( Delmonico's, etc) since its a lot cheaper and still a classic atmosphere. Not always the BEST food but someplace I feel you should always check out as a NYer.

I looked at both Ai Fiori and Bar Boloud and I think they look great. I haven't been to Ai Fiori but I loved Marea so Michael White is pretty high on my list. The Bar Boloud menu looks great as well. I would go for the terrine and cassoloulet since that's what theyre known for. I'm trying out Cafe Boloud instead since it's a little on the lighter side which my visiting guests will enjoy.
