Out East

After our cocktails at Mother of Pearl we headed right across the street to the beautiful restaurant Out East.  This gorgeous bi-level spot focuses on coastal New York cuisine with an emphasis on seafood like the Black Sea Bass ceviche with creamy leche de tigre, a plump Shrimp Cocktail dusted with lemon and Seared Scallops with succotash, brown butter and salsa verde.

For those non-seafood lovers there's a bright Mint Parpadelle with fava beans and hearty meat dishes including Steak Frites, Roasted Chicken and Long Island Duck Breast.  Everything we ordered was fresh and wonderful including dessert.


This white chocolate mousse and honeycomb was reminiscent of Daniel Humm's incredible Milk & Honey from Eleven Madison Park and served as the perfect end to an incredible meal.  Out East is open Tuesday- Sunday and just started serving weekend brunch.
