Incredible Fall Food Events

I love fall for all sorts of reasons- the crisp cool October air, the changing leaves and all the amazing food events in New York City.  It's such a great time to be a food lover in the city.  Here are my top three picks for this great season:

Sunday October 22nd- Tuesday October 24th
  • StarChefs International Chef's Congress- Some of the worlds best chefs and industry icons descend upon the Brooklyn Expo Center this weekend to showcase the techniques, knowledge and flavors that define them through the theme "Cook Your Culture."  Chef José Andrés will kick off the event with An Ode to the Immigrant Cook while presentations by Pierre Herme, Wylie Dufresne and Michael Ruhlman are just a few of the great culinary masters on the star studded lineup.  We're especially excited about the first ever Wing Battle taking center stage on Tuesday afternoon.  Full Congress passes or individual day tickets are still available on the StarChefs website.

Saturday October 28th
  • My Venezuelan Kitchen, Farm to Table-  Join Chef Mercedes Golip as she takes you through a Venezuelan inspired fall dinner at The Brooklyn Kitchen.  The menu includes a creamy Roasted Apple-Pumpkin soup, a gorgeous Chicken Pot Pie from the colonial era in Caracas and her spin on Venezuela's national dish Pabellon, recreated as a short rib-sweet plantain raviolo with black bean puree and cheese.  Check out all the incredible dishes on Instagram at iambananista or purchase tickets directly for the dinner by clicking here.  It's going to be a fantastic night of food and drink.
"Pabellon My Way"

Sunday November 5th & Monday November 6th
  • Raw Wine NYC- Get ready to sample some of the best organic, biodynamic and natural wines in the world at this two day festival in East Williamsburg.  Over 100 wine makers will be on hand with the mission of producing pure wines that are not only free of additives but also better for the planet.  Italy, France, Portugal, New Zealand and Austria are just a handful of amazing countries represented at this years event.  Tickets are just $55 each day or $90 for a two pass.

Cheers to the season of incredible eats and drinks!
